Assault Victim's Father Accused of Punching Student-Wrestler in Linn County Courthouse
The father of an assault victim allegedly assaulted one the defendants on trial for allegedly assaulting his 15-year-old son.
A father of a 15-year-old boy, who was allegedly sexually assaulted by four teenagers from the Lisbon High School wrestling program, is accused of punching one of the defendants in the Linn County Courthouse earlier today.
The father allegedly punched the Lisbon teen after his testimony and was arrested for assault causing bodily injury, according to a story from the Gazette.
It is not confirmed which defendant was involved.
The case began last March, when the four wrestlers were charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy. In separate incidents, the boy was allegedly urinated on in the shower, and at another time allegedly held down while other boys put their genitalia on his face.
Charges against Nathan Jubeck, 18, were dismissed, and Dakota VanDyke, 18, made an Alford plea to a simple assault misdemeanor. The cases against the other two students, both 17, are still pending.
