Marion Patch Poll: Do You Believe in Ghosts?

After a week of solid paranormal coverage, we ask your take on the unknown.

We’ve recently covered , a television paranormal investigator that came to town.

He spoke at the Marion Public Library on the haunted locales he’s visited, the strange ghosts he’s claimed to have encountered and the methods he uses to pinpoint paranormal activity.

He also gave his theory as far as how the paranormal can exist.

"If you look at places that are notoriously haunted, they have a lot of high emotional energy before they die, like prison asylums and hospitals," he said.

He then made a parallel to modern physics.

"Where does that energy go when we die?" he said. "Physics tells us that energy never dies, it just transforms. What if emotional energy is the same?"

We were with a different theory on the makeup of paranormal experiences earlier today, when Marion Patch spoke with a business owner who claimed to have harbored a friendly ghost for several months.

“(The dead) can be living if they are still hung up on life,” said Makenzie Schultz’ psychic friend. “If there is something they haven’t done.”

As far as I see it, this begs three questions.

  1. Are supernatural forces driven by “emotional energy?”

  2. Are supernatural forces driven by the dead’s unwillingness to move on.

  3. Are all these supernatural stories myths and fairy tales created to explain unrelated coincidences.

What do you think?
