Marion Police Seek Lost Juvenile; Allegedly Find Pot Party Instead
The following information was provided by the Marion Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
Marion Police said they visited 36 Cedar Drive in Marion and wound up charging four young Marion residents with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, among other charges.
But they weren't aiming for a pot bust.
Marion Police Detective Lance Miller said Marion Police went to the address to track down a missing Cedar Rapids teen and smelled marijuana lofting out of the house.
Miler said Marion Police got a search warrant and searched the home, and allegedly found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Christopher Alan Merritt, 21, Colt Douglas Martin, 20, Jessi Rae Peyton, 18 and Joshua Scott Tuecke, 19, were all charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Martin, Peyton and Tucke were additionally charged with disorderly house violations.

Nope. The police officer I spoke to didn't know what happened to the teen.
