Top 12 Public Salaries in Marion

The city of Marion has released its list of public salaries in 2011.

Marion City Manager Lon Pluckhahn tops the list of publicly paid wage earners in Marion, followed by Police Chief Harry Daugherty.

Pluckhahn earns $142,442 and Daugherty earns $130,321. In all, total gross wages in Marion for fiscal 2011 topped $11.2 million, or $11,229,931.81, to be exact.

Among all of the departments, 12 people earn six-figure salaries.

The city of Marion released its list of public salaries for fiscal 2011, last week.

The salaries are gross wages before deductions. This was first published in the print edition and they also had a shorter list online, and the city has provided us with a copy as well.

The city is required by state law to publish the salaries of its public employers at least once a year. Salaries in Marion are published at the end of each fiscal year, which is June 30.

The list includes employees from the city, police and library, among other departments. All full list is attached to this article.
