Steven Colbert Says Romney's 'Mr. Right' for VP Is Iowa's Steve King (See the Video)
On Monday night's "Colbert Report," comedian Stephen Colbert riffs on why Iowa Congressman Steve King should be Mitt Romney's choice for his running mate.
With the race for the Republican presidential nomination all but locked up, it's time for Mitt Romney to start looking for a running mate. He should look no further than Iowa Rep. Steve King, R-Kiron.
Well, at least if you ask comedian Stephen Colbert, who allowed himself the opportunity to "speculate wildly" in calling King the "perfect" choice to be vice president.
Colbert made the conservative Iowa congressman the focus of a segment called "Searching for Mr. Right" on Comedy Central's "Colbert Report" on Monday night.

King, who is in a battle with Iowa's former First Lady Christie Vilsack for a seat in Congress, could help help the former Massachusetts governor shore up support among women, Hispanics, blacks, evangelical Christians and Republicans.
"There is one man out there who would shore up Mitt's support with the far right is Iowa Congressman ... Steve King," Colbert said.
Colbert went on to jab King several times, notably insinuating King, who is a staunch opponent of gay marriage, is gay.
