Online Students from Iowa Connections Academy Have a Field Day in West Des Moines

Iowa Connections Academy students gathered for a field trip in West Des Moines to play “Minute to Win It” games on April 25. The field day gave current students of Iowa Connections Academy the chance to catch up and have fun together playing games like cup and golf ball-stacking at the Raccoon River Park.

Iowa Connections Academy is a tuition-free, high-quality, highly accountable virtual public school serving students in grades K-12 throughout Iowa, and this field trip is just one example of the many ways students connect and socialize in-person with their peers. Throughout the field day, students practiced skills like teamwork, hand-eye coordination and critical thinking.
