Multiple flights have been cancelled throughout Iowa, including at the Des Moines Airport and the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids.

Now this feels more like January. Here's a round-up of what you need to know about the storm in Marion and Linn County.
Linn-Mar and Marion schools are cancelled and travel is not advised in several parts of eastern Iowa.

Marion Schools closed.
Mount Mercy University closed until 5 p.m., decision on evening classes by 3 p.m.
Kirkwood Community College closed until 5 p.m., decision on evening classes by 3 p.m.
Marion Airport closed.
Marion Public Library opening at 11 a.m.
Linn County Lifts has no rural service.
Marion Christian Church has no activities and the office is closed until noon.
Marion garbage collection is on schedule.
St. Joseph's Catholic Church has cancelled YFF and confirmation classes tonight.

Because of the weather related hazardous road conditions, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office will be enacting a county-wide tow ban effective immediately on vehicles in the ditch and disabled vehicles unless they pose a traffic hazard. We will continue to monitor the weather and traffic conditions and let the motoring public know when it is safe to remove their vehicles.

- Wednesday: Snow with areas of blowing snow before noon, then snow likely with areas of blowing snow after noon. Temperature falling to around 18 by 5pm. Breezy, with a northwest wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around 5 inches.
- Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 3. Wind chill values as low as -15. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
- Thursday: Scattered flurries after 10am. Mostly cloudy and cold, with a high near 6. Wind chill values as low as -20. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Iowa travel conditions have deteriorated this morning due to heavy snow and high winds. Visibility is reduced, with periods of whiteout conditions.
US 20 eastbound: Road blocked.between Exit 240: County Road V51 and County Road V62 (1 mile west of the Jesup area). The road is blocked due to an accident.
US 151: Travel is not advised.between US 30; IA 13 (near Bertram) and Exit 49: IA 1; County Road E34 (2 miles south of the Anamosa area). Travel is not advised. Towing services are prohibited. There are warnings of white out conditions.
