From the NWS:

...ACCUMULATING SNOW AND SOME SLEET EXPECTED LATER TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...

.A STRONG COLD FRONT NOW MOVING THROUGH THE AREA IS STARTING A DOWNWARD TREND IN TEMPERATURES. LOW PRESSURE MOVING UP ALONG THE COLD FRONT TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY WILL PULL EVEN COLDER AIR INTO THE AREA...TURNING THE RAIN TO SNOW WITH INITIALLY A PERIOD OR TWO OF A MIXTURE OF SLEET AND SNOW POSSIBLE. THEN...ACCUMULATING SNOW IS EXPECTED LATER TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. AS THE LOW MOVES INTO THE GREAT LAKES ON WEDNESDAY...STRONG WINDS BEHIND THE LOW WILL RESULT IN FALLING TEMPERATURES DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY.
