Learn What Makes This Marion Pink Diamond So Special

Ben High, designer from Philip's Diamonds in Marion, shows off a rare gemstone.

Ben High, designer at Philip's Diamond Shop in Marion shows us a rare pink diamond that is priced at a mere $51,000.

If you balk at that price, High says that pink diamonds can cost easily twice that if a pink diamond is unearthed in its natural state.

Philip's is able to offer it for less because one of its diamond cutters, in this case, Bellastaire, uses a process where they can manipulate the molecular structure of the diamonds using heat and pressure to knock the diamond back into a different color structure.
