Keeping it Real (Estate) With Deanna - Consider energy efficient bulbs, timers to save money
Two bright ways to save money in your home.
Energy efficient bulbs have made great leaps.
At one time they took forever to turn on, and were, well, not so bright. However, in the last few years their brightness and turn-on times have grown leaps and bounds. So much so that many times you can’t even tell a home has energy bulbs in place at first glance.

By all indications they can save you big money. Most energy companies will do a free energy audit on your home and will often give energy efficient bulbs to you for free when they leave. Alliant Energy heavily promotes its energy audit program. For more information go to alliantenergy.com.
Another way you can save some dough is through timers.

Have a lot of lamps in your home? Consider putting them on a timer. Frontdoor.com recently advocated using wireless lighting that responds to radio frequency signals from remote control. It might sound a little futuristic, but by all indications it is easy to do. You can even program a remote to operate multiple lights throughout your home.
Have a real estate question? Send it my way. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks!
