Marion Police Blotter: Two Charged with Fraud at Menards

Both Logan Matthew Toomer and Leslie June Stewart were charged with fraudulent practices at the Marion Menards.

According to the Iowa Code, this basically means they were trying to rip off Menards. For example, they could have tried to return an item for a refund which they never bought at the store, with a fraudulent receipt.

These two were charged with fraudulent practices in the fourth degree, meaning the fraud added up to around $400, which is a serious misdemeanor. 

Jan. 27

Benjamin Richard Chapman, 24, Cedar Rapids, was charged with driving while intoxicated at 90 Twixt Town Road.

Alicia Marie Brokaw, 34, Cedar Rapids, was charged with driving with a suspended license and not having insurance, not accident related.

 Logan Matthew Toomer, 21, Mount Vernon, was charged with fraudulent practices in the fourth degree at 200 Menard Lane.

Leslie June Stuart, 23, Mount Vernon, was charged with fraudulent practices in the fourth degree at 200 Menard Lane.

Brian Michael Gilbert, 26 Cedar Rapids, was charged with third degree theft and criminal trespass, at 5491 Highway 151.

Connie Yola Eisenhardt, 35, Cedar Rapids, was charged with third degree theft and criminal trespass, at 5491 Highway 151.

John Kevin Hardy, 53, 1007 Third Avenue, Marion, was charged with driving with a suspended license at 10th Street and Second Avenue.

Jan. 28

Oscar Humberto Sanchez Ruiz, 27, Cedar Rapids, was charged with driving with a suspended license at the 1200 Block of Blairs Ferry Road.

Renae Jean Becker, 293 Fourteenth Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated and or drugged, first offense and excessive speed, on the 900 block of Third Avenue. 

Matthew Aron Howell, 30, 290 Bentley Drive, Marion, was charged with driving while intoxicated and or drugged, first offense, at 890 Bentley Drive.

Joshua Allen Ritter, 30, 790 Bentley Drive, Marion, was charged with driving with a suspended license and fraudulent use of registration, at the 1400 block of Tenth Street. 

Chirstopher Allen Schmidt, 34, Springville, was charged with driving while drunk and or drugged, first offense, failure to yield and not having proof of insurance, at the corner of Highway 151 and Fiftieth Street.

Moses Leon Bradford, 37, Waterloo, was charge with driving with a suspended license and speeding, at the 3100 block of Highway 100. 

Austin Thomas Hughes, 24, Monticello, was charged with driving with a suspended lisence and possession of drug paraphernalia, at the corner of Highway 100 and East Post Road.

Jan. 30

Kelvin Xavier Louis Junior, 24, Cedar Rapids, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, interference with official acts and not having insurance, not accident related, at the 400 block of Northland Avenue.

Roeut Plang, 37, 2965 Nineteenth Avenue, Marion, was charged with driving while intoxicated and or drugged, first offense and improper use of lanes, at the 2400 block of Tenth Avenue.

Felisha Nicole Clark, 20, 2899 Fifth Avenue, Marion, was charged with assault on a police officer, at 2899 Fifth Avenue. 

Jerry Lee James Ewing, 27, 2899 Fifth Avenue, Marion, was charged with interference with official acts, at 2899 Fifth Avenue. 

Kenyon Carlos Cannon, 35, Chicago, was charged with interference with official acts, at 2899 Fifth Avenue. 

Andrea Leigh Johnson, 20, 560 Bentley Drive, Marion, was charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia, at the 3100 block of Seventh Avenue.

Gregory Micheal Fry, 22, 1079 Fwelth Avenue, was charged with driving with a suspended license, at the 1200 Block of Tenth Street.

Charles Anthony Stewart Junior, 1481 Grand Avenue, Marion, was charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to use safety belts and not having proof of insurance, not accident related, at the 1200 Block of Grand Avenue.

Sara Lea Purman, 39, 1220 Medowview Drive, Marion, was charged with theft at 200 Menard Lane.

Ashley Motrison Hoffman, 24, Central City, was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to use safety belts, at the corner of Highway 100 and Banner Drive.

Michael Eugene Thompson, 58, 585 Fifth Avenue, Marion, was charged with assault, at 585 Fifth Avenue.

Deania Marie Schuler, 21, 895 South 11 Street, Marion, was charged with consumption in public and or public intoxication, at 1480 Grand Avenue. 

Feb. 1

Aja Sancia Laub, 30, Cedar Rapids, was charged with driving with a suspended license, at the 100 block of West Eighth Avenue.

Kate Makenna Marshall, 24, 2910 Autumn Drive, Marion, was charged with driving with a revoked license, at the corner of Highway 151 and Katz Drive. 

Brandon Lee Schrock, 28, Central City, was charged with driving with a suspended license, at the corner of Highway 13 and Radio Road.

Dannie James Everts, 47, 560 Belntley Drive, Marion, was charged with consumption in public and or public intoxication, at the 800 block of Eighth Avenue.

Feb. 2

Phillip Albert Malerich, 25, 560 Bentley Drive, 25, was charged with assault without intent to injure, at 1899 Seventh Avenue.
