National Weather Service Announces Wind Advisory and Heat Index Warning Today

The National Weather Service has posted both a wind advisory and a hazardous weather outlook, as today might be the windiest and hottest day this year.

My god, it's hot outside.

The silvery leather on my 10-year-old Chevy is so hot I can see steam-lines rising from it all the way from my apartment.

According to the National Weather Service, that's probably because today will feel like the hottest day this summer. One of the windiest too.

The weather service has issued a wind advisory and a hazardous weather outlook for the area, today. Be prepared for gusts of wind as fast and powerful as 40 to 45-miles-per-hour, and, if that's not enough, the heat index should reach a face-melting 100 degrees this afternoon.

So, please people, be careful out there. Today might not be the best day to take that mid-afternoon run or 16 mile bike ride.

Tomorrow doesn't look good either, with a high of 94. But, temperatures should cool down after tomorrow, so expect highs in the middle to lower 80s for the rest of the week.
