Today's Awful Weather: Flooding, Hail and Torrential Rainfall?

The National Weather Service has announced a hazardous weather outlook for the area due to potential thunderstorms and hail.

The National Weather Service has announced a hazardous weather outlook for the area, including a warning for thunderstorms this morning which could bring hail the size of quarters.

There's also a chance of thunderstorms for this afternoon and tonight. And it looks like these thunderstorms are fairly severe, as they may also bring torrential rainfall — enough for a potential flash flood — in addition to more hail and damaging winds.

Similar severe thunderstorms are possible for Saturday and Sunday as well, severe enough to warrant flash flood warnings.

And because the soil will be so wet from the continuous rainfall, the threat of flooding increases over the weekend. The National Weather Service said that this could lead to river flooding.
