Jailed Marion Woman Linked to May Armed Robbery of Farmers State Bank

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Jennifer Lee Redmond, 34, of Marion, for a charge of second-degree robbery. They believe she robbed Farmers State Bank on May 13.

A Marion woman, who is already in jail on a robbery charge, has been connected to a second armed robbery in Marion.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Jennifer Lee Redmond, 34, of Marion, for a charge of second-degree robbery. They believe she robbed Farmers State Bank on May 13.

Redmond is already in Johnson County Jail on a felony robbery charge connected to the May 24 armed robbery of U.S. Bank in Coralville

In the Farmers State Bank incident, police didn't give a description of the person, but said the person displayed a handgun during the robbery at the bank at 1380 Twixt Town Road. Authorities said no one was injured. Police said the person fled in an newer white SUV type-vehicle with yellow tape over the front and rear license plates and the vehicle left the bank north on Lindale Drive toward West Eighth Avenue in Marion.

In Coralville, police say Redmond presented a note demanding money while brandishing a handgun and pointing it at the bank teller. She then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a news release.
