Marion Man Accused of Trying to Take Deputy's Taser in Bar Altercation

Ronald Clark has been arrested for disarming a peace officer and four counts of assault on a peace officer, among other charges, stemming from an incident at Mahoney's in Alburnett.

A 48-year-old Marion man is accused of trying to disarm a Linn County Sheriff’s deputy of his Taser last Sunday and assaulting several deputies during an altercation outside of a bar in Alburnett.

Ronald Clark faces eight charges, including four for assault and one for disarming a peace officer, according to a report by the Gazette, citing authorities.

Police found out about the incident after they received reports of an intoxicated man starting fights at Mahoney’s in Alburnett.

Clark is currently out on bond from Linn County Jail.
