Police: Driver in Marion Police Chase Operating Stolen Car

Law enforcement officials have released more information in the case of James Fay, a man accused of first-degree burglary, among other charges.

James Fay, the man involved in a Marion police chase Monday, was allegedly driving a Chevrolet Impala that was registered stolen weeks ago.

The incident began when Fay allegedly threatened to shoot someone at a family member's home, 1065 Third St., before he drove off. 

Fay was traveling over 25 mph over the limit before he was arrested at approximately 1:25 p.m. near Thomas Park, according to court documents acquired by the Gazette.

Fay was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree theft and "numerous" traffic infractions, according to a statement from Marion Police.

It's currently not known where Fay resides.
