Police & Fire Police: 8 Charged with Assault-Related Charges

 have charged eight people with assault-related offenses in the period between Aug. 10 and Sept. 6.

The following have been arrested by the Marion Police Department, according to police records:

Lyle Richard Matheny, 70, Marion, was charged August 10 with assault, at 19 Chapelridge Court.

Melvin Hoyt Roberts Jr, 1355 Third Avenue, Marion, was charged Aug. 14 with domestic assault causing serious injury and/or mental illness, at 1614 Mary Drive.

Matthew John Drost, 43, Stanwood, was charged Aug. 17 with domestic assault causing serious injury and/or mental illness, possession of a controlled substance, and public consumption/intoxication, 795 Bentley Drive.

Kenneth Ray Butterbaugh, 54, 1731 Eagleview Drive, Marion, was charged Aug. 19 with domestic assault causing serious injury/mental illness, at 1731 Eagleview Drive.

James Noble Lee, 27, 900 Grand Avenue, Marion was charged Aug. 19 with simple domestic assault, at 900 Grand Avenue.

Ronald Jay Gross Jr, 21, 432 Sixth Avenue, Marion was charged Aug. 21 with two counts of assault, at 648 Eighth Street.

Breonica Marie Harp, 3205 Eighth Street, Marion, was charged Aug. 27 with domestic assault causing serious injury/mental illness, at her home.

Stacy Marie Stabnow, 38, 1735 48th Street, Marion, was charged Aug. 31 with domestic assault, causing serious injury and/or mental illness at her home.
