(Encore) Marion Arrests to Convictions: Police Convict 4 of 10 Arrested in Drug Bust

Marion Patch has following up on those arrested by the Marion Police Department from a drug bust months ago.

The Marion Police Department arrested 10 in a drug bust investigation, allegedly finding five pounds of marijuana, $3,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia, all in a house blocks away from the police station.

that were arrested were not given charges. Two of the six charged were charged with possession related charges.

The exception being 23-year-old David D. Weaver, who was charged with several drug related offenses and has yet to be sentenced.

He's been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, failure to affix a tax stamp and gathering for use of marijuana.

The following people are among the arrested that received charges stemming from the alleged drug bust.

Name: Christopher Benjamin Fischer

Charges: Possession of controlled substance, schedule five, possession of drug paraphernalia and a disorderly house violation.

Sentence: Ten days in jail, one year of probation — the paraphernalia charge was dropped.

 

Name: Roy William England III

Charges: Disorderly house.

Sentence: $65 fine.

 

Name: Bryan Parcel

Charge: Disorderly house.

Sentence: $65 fine.

 

Name: Ryan Lazenby

Charge: Gathering where marijuana is used.

Sentence: $315 fine.

 

Name: Zachary Russell

Charge: Disorderly house.

Verdict: Not guilty.
