Details Announced for Obama Stop in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday

President Barack Obama will make a campaign stop at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday.

President Barack Obama plans to make a campaign stop at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, July 10.

The economy will be the focus of the visit, according to his campaign.

Obama is expected to arrive at 12:50 p.m.

During the "grassroots event" at Johnson Hall at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Obama will outline his "plan to build an economy that is grown from the middle out, not from the top down, where everyone has a fair shot to succeed and plays by the same set of rules," according to a campaign news release.

"The President will also discuss his plan to pay down our deficit in a balanced way while creating jobs in Iowa and across the country," according to the news release.

This will be Obama's fourth stop in Iowa this year, and the ninth time Obama, Vice President Joe Biden or First Lady Michelle Obama has come to Iowa. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who will face Obama in November, has been to Iowa three times since the Iowa Caucus.

Doors open to the President’s event on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. central time and the event is free and open to the public, however tickets are required for admission. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets will be distributed at the following locations on Saturday, July 7 at noon central time.
