If our election culture celebrated delegates as much as candidates, you'd probably already know about Marion's Sam Gray, a delegate representing Iowa at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

Gray, at 17 years old, is the youngest of 5,556 delegates representing every corner of the country at the DNC. Gray will be eligible to vote on Oct. 19 - his 18th birthday.

"I just watched it a lot on TV when I was younger and listened to my family speak about it, but I wanted to be involved," Gray told Radio Iowa.
