VIDEO and POLL: Will Rick Perry's Debate Mistake Doom his Campaign?

The story of the night for the MIchigan Republican debate was Gov. Rick Perry's mind going blank in the middle of listing federal agencies he wants to cut. What will this do to his presidential aspirations? Watch the video and vote.

Whatever happens, Rick Perry just had a debate gaffe that will likely go down for the ages.

Wednesday night at the Republican debate in Michigan, the Texas governor was listing off the three agencies he would cut when he forgot the third agency he was going to list. As you can see from the video, awkwardness ensued. (Anyone who has had a major mental blank during a speech had to feel for Perry here.)

The mistake was bad enough that Perry came out to greet reporters afterward to acknowledge the misstep, saying that he was glad he had his boots on because he "stepped in it" during the debate.

Perry vowed to continue on in his quest toward president, but was that mistake the final push that will deflate a sagging campaign? You tell us in our poll.

And yet, you're going to hear it at least two dozen times more in the next couple days. Sadly, it's his own fault.

He was on Letterman last night trying to make light of it.

Can you imagine him trying to debate President Obama?

Clearly anyone who makes a gaffe on the campaign trail is unqualified to be president. http://michellemalkin.com/2008/05/21/barack-obama-gaffe-machine/
