Marion School Board Passes $345,000 Bleacher Bid, Raises Fees

At yesterday's Marion School Board Meeting, the board of education voted to raise fees for certain school services.

The board of education passed plans to raise fees for certain school services at the Marion Independent School board meeting on Monday.

School service meals will go up 10 cents per meal, while a new $5 fee for physical education supplies at will be added.

But one fee, the Marion High School parking fee, is being reduced. Parking at the high school now costs $5.

Additionally, the board voted to accept a $345,250 bid from Tricon Construction to revamp Marion High School's football bleachers.
