Two-Hour Early Dismissal Tuesday for Marion Independent School District
Marion Independent School District will be releasing earlier Monday and Tuesday to try to beat the heat before it turns to boiling.
The Marion Independent School District is getting out ahead of the projected heat wave.
The school district has announced a two-hour early dismissal at its schools Tuesday, as a heat advisory has already been declared to reach its peak at these days.
There was also a two-hour early release on Monday.
Two Hour Early Release due to heat. Monday Aug. 26 and Tuesday Aug. 27. No afternoon JK at Emerson.
There also will be no p.m. kindergarten according to the KCRG cancellations list.
I will keep an eye on future announcements to see if more heat induced early dismissals are added on later.
