Waterloo West Rallies Linn-Mar Lions in Fourth Quarter for First Win Since 2010

Waterloo West scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, beating the Lions 27-14.

 has now lost the first three consecutive games thisseason after going undefeated in the first two months of the last three years.  

Now, to add insult to injury, the lost Friday's game against Waterloo West, a team that, according to the Iowa High School Athletic Association, hasn't won a game since 2010.

The Lions had a promising start to the game, beginning the fourth quarter seven points ahead, 14-7.

That lead slipped late in the fourth quarter. Beginning with eight minutes to go, the Lions gave up three touchdowns, ending the game with Waterloo West on top, 27-14.

If this and our our  is an indication of anything, this year is most certainly a building year.

The Lions face off against the Cedar Rapids Washington Friday.
