Linn-Mar Golfer Signs Contract with Chicago School

Trevor Berry, a Linn-Mar High School senior, has committed to play golf with Roosevelt University.

senior Trevor Berry has just signed a contract to play golf with the Rosevelt University Lakers.

According to a release from the Chicago-based school, he will be joining in the 2012-2013 school year and will compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics against members of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

"I’m excited to add Trevor to our new golf team," said Roosevelt University Head Men’s Golf Coach Marty Scherr. "He is a hard worker and a proven winner who along with our first signee Kyle Martens will give us the nucleus of a strong team for next year."

In his time at Linn-Mar, Berry qualified for the Iowa State 4A State Tournament twice. He's also apparently won the the Cedar Rapids Prybil Golf Tournament twice, in addition to placing third in the Midwest Golf Tournament in 2011.
