1. Marion Quilt Walk
Marion Quilt walk, a new event this year featuring many of the unique vendors found in the Uptown Marion business district.

2. Linda McCann, author of "Cedar Valley Road" at the Marion Public Library

The Cedar Valley Road
A Project Read Program Presented by Linda McCannLinda is the author the several local history books, including The Cedar Valley Road. The Waterloo, Cedar Falls, & Northern Railway operated for over fifty years and impacted many lives during its existence. Even now, people can recall the conductor on ‘their’ car, or talk about riding the ‘trolley’ to college. Farmers rode the northern Iowa rail to town to sell their produce and factories in Waterloo shipped by the Cedar Valley Road. Come listen to Linda share this fascinating history.
3. Marion Farmers Market
Aug 14th
From 3:00pm to 6:00pm at City Square Park.
Enjoy the nice weather by buying some nice locally grown produce in Marion.
4. Uptown Getdown: Well Lit
What's better on a nice weather day than enjoying some music outdoors with your friends and family? Not much that I can think of.
