1. Get Outside! Jan. 6-8  According to the Weather Channel, each day this weekend has a high of 45 degrees. While that's not necessarily summer weather, compared to the inevitable, upcoming freezing temperatures and wind chills, this weekend might be the last gasp of decent weather. Fire up the grill, take a stroll to the park, read outside on your porch. All you'll need is a sweater. 2. Girls Varsity Basketball, Jan 6, 7:30 p.m. The Linn-Mar Lions will be playing the Xavier High School Saints at a home game at the Linn-Mar High School. Yes, last week the Hawkeyes faced an embarrassing loss against Minnisota, but tomorrow, unlike today, is a new day. That new day might bring a victory for Iowa and a 6-3 record.
