Marion Farmers Market Opening Weekend: What Fruits and Vegetables Can't You Wait to Snap Up?

The market is open from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays. The final Marion Farmers Market of the season will take place September 28. Due to previously scheduled events in the park, there will not be a market on Saturday, May 18 or Saturday, June 2. Marion Farmers Market is on the Move

Due to construction, the Marion Farmers Market will no longer be located in the parking lot of the Marion Shopping Center.

You may have noticed that the Marion Shopping Center shopping center is under heavy construction right now. With the dozens of tons of heavy machinery and concrete matter flying around like dust in the old west, you might think it is a terrible location for this year's farmers market, which is usually in the mall's parking lot. You'd be right. According to the Gazette, the organizers of the Marion Farmers Market have chosen a new site for the farms market, when it comes back this May. Taube Park, on 2200 31rst St.  "This is the best location we can think of at this time," said Pat Carlson, administrative assistant for the Marion Parks and Recreation Department, to the Gazette.
