Dave Schwartz, Neighbor

I'm an Iowa City resident, husband, and a father to three girls, ages 6, 4 and 1.

Like many parents, I also work. Time away from the job is usually dedicated to family. Our schedule is intense. Fun, but intense.

Professionally, I work for the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where I direct the Iowa Summer Journalism Workshops and Academies and the Iowa High School Press Association, and serve as an adjunct professor.

I also serve on the board of the Iowa Center for Public Affairs Journalism, own a dog, and am emotionally tied to the St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team, which has made for a difficult last 10 years.
