Plane Out of Cedar Rapids Makes Emergency Landing in Georgia

All 155 passengers and 6 crew members got off the plane safely.

A plane flying out of Cedar Rapids made an emergency landing in Georgia Sunday.

The Associated Press reported Allegiant Air Flight 863 landed at Southwest Georgia Regional Airport in Albany after concerns about a possible fire in the cargo area of the plane just before 9 p.m. 

All 155 passengers and 6 crew members got off the plane safely.

KWWL reports the plane took off from Cedar Rapids at about 6 p.m. Sunday and was scheduled to land in St. Petersburg, Fla.
