New Linn Grove Principal Plans To Have Open-Door Policy

Chad Schumacher will be the new principal of Linn Grove Elementary when the school year starts. 
He is replacing Shannon Bisgard, who is stepping down to join Grant Wood AEA.

Schumacher, 39, has been in the Linn-Mar district in various capacities since 2001. He's been a teacher of introduction to psychology, associate dean of students at the high school and director of high school teaching and learning.

Now Schumacher said he is ready to work with the little ones. 

"I'm really exited to work with the little ones," Schumacher said. "They have so much energy... With older students, you are prepping them for life outside of (K-12) school, where as with younger ones you are preparing them for the journey through their K-12 experiences."
